Habitat For Humanity

2016 National Women's Build... Thank you Lowe's for the $5,000 award for hosting a Women's build. Over 70 volunteers helped this day.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County with around 500 people volunteering each year. Habitat of Champaign County's mission of eliminating substandard housing brings together individual and group volunteers from corporate, faith, educational, and community groups to ensure that everyone may live in safe, decent, and affordable housing. Churches, businesses and individual families may volunteer for a Saturday build by contacting the Restore. Work commences at 8 am. Lunch is provided and the day concludes at 3 pm. HFHCCO (Habitat for Humanity Champaign County, Ohio) is extremely blessed with many strong supporters. We are thankful.

Apply to Be A Homeowner

Habitat for Humanity believes that all hard-working individuals and families should have access to the benefits and stability of homeownership. In this belief, we are committed to partnering with families to build safe, healthy, and affordable homes.

Our average cost to build each home is under $70,000 and is made possible by the generous support of our community. In addition to grants, large donations of materials and volunteer labor make it possible for us to sell homes to our partner families with a 0% interest mortgage.

Applicants must qualify to be selected for a Habitat home in Champaign County.
